I can’t help but marvel when I recognize the power,
That two small objects can hold over all they find,
For I witnessed it myself, it struck me for hours,
They zapped me of my senses, I lost my mind.
It’s strange to think how much influence they have,
Perhaps it’s because they don’t even know,
That they can control my whole mind, not half
Even after I break away and try to go,
But it’s no use; they haunt me every waking minute,
After so much thought, I believe it’s their grasp
They hold everything in sight within it,
And I find it impossible to loosen their clasp.
The magic comes from behind them, from their dwelling place,
There’s a hidden agent controlling their movements,
Forever they’ll be intertwined, in a sweet embrace,
It’s inconceivable to believe there can be improvements.
I find myself lost in thought at all they have to offer,
For they have much that comes with them,
Impossible, I find it, to reject their proffer,
Willingly to them, I myself would condemn
In fact, I believe that’s part of their unknowing magic,
The ability to make others want to sacrifice,
For no matter what I do, I find it tragic,
That my offers aren’t good enough, they won’t suffice.
For what can one give, worthy of being received,
By these two parts of a whole that I don’t deserve,
I’ve lead you astray this entire time, I don’t mean to deceive,
About the identity of the two I’m forced to serve.
For they aren’t really two, they’re a splendid part,
Of a creature who might be my demise,
Their real magic started at taking my heart,
For I’m speaking of your two magnificent eyes.
